Biography
Linda Voogt-Wood earned her Bachelor
of Fine Arts Degree at
Born into a military family, Linda became
a world traveler as an infant, and continued traveling, living 22 years in five
countries outside the
Linda’s checkered career has been distracting, enriching and inspiring to her. When in 1992 she was diagnosed with a fatal bone marrow disease, she left the corporate world behind. A year later, she was the recipient of a miracle healing in a dream, and she knew that she was being given a second chance to allow the artist within her to finally get to work. She considers it necessary for her quality of life. As a member of the Baha’i Faith, from which she gleans her inspiration, she strives to produce art that will aid in healing mankind of prejudices of any kind, thereby creating a new unity among the peoples of the earth.
Her unique works vary from oil to
watercolor, and woodcarving to ceramic sculpture. She has been the recipient of numerous awards
for her original work, which is in both private and public collections
